Design of next generation electronics for a circular economy

Internship on PCB depopulation at TU Delft and MIREC

For students with an interest in recycling electronic waste devices, there is an interesting opportunity of an internship as part of the Circular Circuits Project.

This internship is a collaboration between MIREC and Resources & Recycling (TU Delft) to further develop the depopulation of PCBs. At the moment, there is a method for depopulating on a lab scale, with which the components can be manually removed from the PCB. The goal of this internship is to optimize the current manual method
through automation. Towards the end of the project, a prototype can be tested on location in Eindhoven.
The majority of the work will take place in the Stevinlab of the TU Delft at the Resources & Recycling section. Towards the end of the project, there will also be work in Eindhoven.
