Aviation struggles with waste mountains: from meals to headphones
Worldwide, air traffic has risen substantially and the number of passenger sum up to around 5 billion a year. Not only does this lead to a considerable emissions, but also to an enormous mountain of waste created by meals, pillows and headphones.
Nils Pauliks spoke on behalf of the Circular Circuits project: ” We are trying to reduce electronic waste. Plastic, iron and copper in particular disappear into incinerators with the discarded headphones.”
